You may have discovered how Co-Activity is much more than coaching. Not only is Co-Activity transformative for the people you will coach - it will transform you in everything you do.
MY CO-ACTIVE JOURNEY
Among other things, I spent a large part of my career as a visual designer, and digital consultant. After 25 years I lost my passion for design and began my search for what was next for me. It was through talking with a variety of coaches, I was introduced to Co-Active Training Institute (CTI).
At the time, I knew very little about coaching, never mind seeing myself as a coach. What inspired me, was the opportunity to guide, support and inspire others towards a fulfilling and purposeful life.
I began to wind down my consulting career and began coaching full-time. I took Fundamentals in 2017. I completed the Intermediate Training in 2018. And with a full roster of clients, I completed certification in 2019.
It was a stroke of luck that an open call period for new faculty happened around the same time and I didn’t hesitate to apply.
I was hired on in 2020 and have played numerous roles within CTI including leading the Intermediate trainings.
It's been the most rewarding career decision I've ever made.
WHY DO CERTIFICATION?
By completing the intermediate coach training, you will have the essential skills to start coaching right now!
What certification provides is a deeper learning experience of the Co-Active model that leads ultimately to coaching mastery.
By design, you’ll go further into the application of the model's cornerstones, contexts and principles. You’ll benefit from ongoing practice and supportive feedback from your supervisors and peers.
Plus acquiring your CPCC (certified professional Co-Active coach) will differentiate you as a coach, since CTI is seen around the world as a gold standard for professional coaching.
Becoming a certified professional Co-Active coach was one of the best career decisions I’ve made. It gave me more opportunities to practice coaching and receive helpful feedback. I became more confident in my coaching which had a greater impact on my clients, and in turn, helped me attract more clients to work with.
WHY DO YOU NEED A CERTIFICATION COACH?
Here is a truism regarding coaching, "You can only coach as far as you're ready to go yourself." By having a qualified Co-Active in your corner you benefit by:

Besides that having your own coach is required by CTI and the ICF during the certification process.
ABOUT THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS
Some things to know if you're considering applying for certification:
You can apply for certification once you have completed the Process course
When selecting a Certification coach, they must have their CPCC and a PCC or MCC with the International Coaching Federation (ICF)
It's advisable to meet with 3 coaches before making your final selection and take into account their fees, availability, and coaching style
You will need to put your chosen coach's name on your application for certification
It will take 6 months to complete the training. So it's important that you're prepared to dedicate the time and energy to meet with you certification pod, complete the reading material and coach your clients (of course!!)
You will need to complete 100 coaching hours to do your oral exam.
It is suggested that you have 5 clients when you begin the training. Based on experience I would advise that you have at least 7 and always be finding new clients to work with.
