What Is Twitter?

For those still in the dark on Twitter, here’s what it is: Twitter is the 140 character micro-blog application to answer one fundamental question, “what are you doing?”.
Twitter combines the best of email, blogging, text messaging and instant messenger into one online application. It is fast. It’s easy to use. And can be very addictive. It is the new way to listen to and be heard by individuals as well large groups of people with shared interests, hobbies, points of view and professions.
As a Twitter user you can post updates (or tweets) privately for your all of your followers to see. Twitter is a great way to share information, photos, videos, music, news you’ve found on the web, or updates from your own web sites or blogs.
The fascinating part of Twitter is how you can engage and converse with other people with less than 140 characters at time. Imagine if everyday conversations had the same constraints. May not leave enough room to argue
