CERIC (The Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling) is a charitable organization dedicated to promoting career counselling related research and professional development opportunities across Canada. They are the leading member supported organization in Canada that develops programs, studies and resources for professionals in career and education counselling.
Upon review of their existing web site it was clear it did not fairly represent their purpose and credibility. The needed a presence that would clearly articulate what they do, who they did it for and what they produced as an organization to support its members.
The Strategy
The existing CERIC web site had many limitations which limited the capabilities of the marketing and management teams to their web site alive. The new site features:
- A content management system built in Drupal to enable internal and external resources to update and manage their web site.
- An improved newsletter sign-up ad user database for future email communications
- An area to promote new projects and resources CERIC produces
- Bi-lingual content to appeal to both English and French members – which was limited before
- Improved links to their Ecommerce platform – ContactPoint.ca
- Better credibility of CERIC as an active organization by promoting news with CERIC and show casing its active partnerships
